"The two episode "Was Joseph Smith Trustworthy?" podcast can be accessed through http://www.thechurchisnottrue.com/ and at the links below. Notes for these podcasts can be found at http://mccue.cc/bob/documents/rs.does mormonism cause irrational belief.pdf starting at page 33. Most of Mormonism's foundation was created by statements made by Joseph Smith concerning his dealings with God and His angels. The credibility of these statements rely entirely upon Smith's trustworthiness. Hence, if he is not trustworthy Mormonism has a serious problem. This set of podcasts addresses both the evidence regarding Smith's lack of trustworthiness, and why faithful Mormons should be expected to look for ways to ignore and dismiss this evidence. This pattern of irrationally defending a community's foundational stories can be found in many other human groups with religious, political and many other kinds of ideological foundations."
